Palestine International Poetry Prize

Launched by the General Union of Palestinian Writers and Authors in partnership with the International Federation of Writers’ Associations, the World Poetry Movement, and the Pan-African Writers’ Association launching P. A.W.A;
The Palestine International Poetry Prize is a creative award dedicated to poetic works that document the Palestinian tragedy while establish authentic the justice and legitimacy of the Palestinian right. It seeks to embody the Palestinian dream of freedom, return, independence, and to present to the world the Palestinian narrative grounded in truth, justice, dignity, beauty, love, life, and the common good—defending life and its reasons in the face of narratives of killing, erasure, exclusion, and ugliness.
The General Union of Palestinian Writers and Authors launches the Palestine International Poetry Prize and undertakes to provide all forms of support and endorsement for the prize through a Board of Trustees includes of distinguished creative and influential figures from across the continents of our planet. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees serves as the President of the Prize.
The Board of Trustees includes prominent and highly respected personalities in cultural and creative circles. Its mission is to provide all forms of support which necessary to endorsement the prize and achieve its objectives. The prize will also have a dedicated jury panel.
The Palestine International Poetry Prize is awarded annually. Each edition carries the name of a poet who has contributed to Palestine and its people, or who has supported the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of its people.
The prize is divided into three categories. Winners are announced and honored during a special ceremony dedicated to the prize, held in a country determined by the Board of Trustees.

Vision and Aspiration

The Palestine International Poetry Prize presents itself as the only international poetry award emerging emanating from the State of Palestine to the world. It serves as a mark of appreciation and recognition for poets worldwide and their creative works that support Palestinian rights. At the same time, it aims to encourage to birthright further creative production that resonates with the aspirations and sacred values of Palestine—land of holiness, peace, and civilizational and spiritual illumination.

The prize will also serve as a platform for engagement with poets from across the world and their languages, paving the way for new cultural dialogues between civilizations and cultures. Through accompanying activities—particularly the translation of winning poetic works—the prize seeks to foster creative exchange and communication between Palestine and its global cultural depth.
In this sense, Palestine is presented as a universal aesthetic cause, and poetry as the childhood of the world and people's platform for expressing themselves and their identities.

Objectives
1. Enhancing and strengthening the Palestinian presence in the global poetic movement and in the global cultural landscape in general, meanwhile developing the effectiveness, engagements of  creatives worldwide with Palestine and its poetic cultural context.

2. Deepening awareness the defining process by the question.. of  the Palestinian identity and destiny, and committing dialogue and interaction between Palestinian poets and their counterparts around the world.
3. Encouraging Achieving an equation to motivate poets to write about Palestine poets to write about Palestine, while honoring those who have embraced Palestine as a major aesthetic cause and highlighting the spiritual values it has radiated to the world.
4. Encouraging poets worldwide—especially young poets— to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and recognizing their creative achievements.

About the Prize
The prize was launched by the General Union of Palestinian Writers and Authors in 2026. Its first edition carries a title "Gaza’s Martyr Poets".
This edition comes in recognition of the unprecedented solidarity shown by poets worldwide—particularly within the World Poetry Movement—with Palestinian suffering and their condemnation of the Israeli war of genocide and cultural destruction. Poets around the world expressed this solidarity through poems, readings, and poetic events, many of which have been translated into various languages.

Prize Conditions
1. The submitted work must not have previously received any award, and must have been published by a qualified publishing house within the past three years (2024, 2025, 2026).
2. Participants must register by completing the application form on the official website of the prize, attaching a curriculum vitae and three personal photographs.
3. Participants must declare that the submitted work will not be entered for another award in the same year, and they bear full responsibility for any intellectual property violations, while respecting the decision of the  Jury.
4. The prize administration reserves the right to exclude any submission that does not meet the stated requirements.
5. Members of the prize administration or the jury are not permitted to participate in the competition in the same year.
6. Only one work accepted to  be submitted per participant.
7. The prize is awarded to poets who do not speak Arabic..

Prize Categories
1. Palestine International Poetry Prize — USD 4,000
2. Palestine International Translation Prize — USD 3,000, awarded for translations of Palestinian poetry into other languages
3. Palestine International Prize for the Study or Publication of Palestinian Poetry — USD 3,000, awarded to a critic reviewer, researcher, publisher, or institution.

Award Ceremony
The prize will be presented during a special ceremony held in Palestine or abroad. In addition to the cash award, the winning works will be translated into Arabic and other languages, and the winners will receive certificates of recognition and the prize medal. They will also be invited to Palestine to participate in joint cultural and poetic events.

جائزة إبداعية تنحاز للنصوص الشعرية التي تؤرخ للتراجيديا الفلسطينية وتؤصل لعدالة الحق الفلسطيني المشروع، ويجسد الحلم الفلسطيني في الحرية والعودة، والاستقلال. كما تقدّم للعالم الرواية الفلسطينيّة القائمة على الحق والحقيقة والكرامة والجمال والمحبة والحياة والخير العام بالدفاع عن الحياة وأسبابها في مواجهة سرديّة القتل والمحو والإلغاء والقبح. يُطلق الاتحاد العام للكتاب والأدباء الفلسطينيين جائزة فلسطين الدوليّة للشعر، ويتعهّد بتقديم كافة أشكال التأييد والدعم للجائزة من خلال مجلس أمناء لها يضم كبار المبدعين في قارّات كوكبنا الأرضي، ويعتبر رئيس مجلس الأمناء رئيساً للجائزة.
ويضم مجلس الأمناء شخصيات مرموقة ووازنة تحظى بالتقدير والاحترام في الأوساط الثقافية والإبداعية، من مهامه توفير كافة أشكال الإسناد والتأييد لتظهير الجائرة وتحقيق أهدافها. ويكون للجائزة لجنة تحكيم خاصة.
جائزة فلسطين الدولية للشعر سنوية، وكل نسخة منها تحمل اسم شاعر قدّم لفلسطين وشعبها أو دعم عدالة قضية فلسطين وحقوق شعبها المشروعة.
كما تنقسم جائزة فلسطين الدولية للشعر إلى ثلاث جوائز، يتم الإعلان عنها وتسليمها في فعالية تخصص للجائزة، وفي بلد يحدِّده مجلس أمناء الجائزة.

الرؤيا والطموح:
تقدّم جائزة فلسطين الدولية للشعر ذاتها بوصفها الجائزة الوحيدة الّتي تنطلق من دولة فلسطين إلى العالم، لتشكّل شهادة تقدير واعتزاز بشعراء العالم ونتاجاتهم الإبداعية المؤيدة للحق الفلسطيني، وفي الوقت نفسه حافزاً لاجتراح المزيد من الإبداعات الّتي تلامس تطلعات ومقدسات فلسطين - أرض القداسة والسلام والإشعاع الحضاري والروحي. كما أنّها سوف تجسّد منبراً للتواصل مع شعراء العالم ولغاتهم ما يمهّد لإقامة حوارات جديدة للحوار بين الثقافات والحضارات. وانطلاقاً من ذلك تطمح جائزة فلسطين الدولية للشعر من خلال الفعاليات المرافقة للجائزة، بما في ذلك ترجمة الأعمال الشعرية الفائزة، إلى تكريس عملية التبادل والتواصل الإبداعي بين فلسطين وعمقها الكوني، بوصف فلسطين قضية جمالية كونية وبوصف الشعر طفولة العالم ومنابر الشعوب للتعبير عن ذاتها.
الأهداف:
1-  تعزيز الحضور الفلسطيني في الحركة الشعرية العالمية وفي المشهد الثقافي العالمي عموماً، وتطوير فاعليّة تواصل المبدعين في كافة أنحاء العالم مع فلسطين وسياقها الثقافي والشعري.
2-  تعميق عملية التعريف بسؤال الهويّة والمصير الفلسطينيّيْن، وتكريس عمليّة الحوار والتواصل بين شعراء فلسطين والعالم.
3- تحقيق معادلة تحفيز الشعراء للكتابة عن فلسطين، وتكريم الشعراء الّذين اتخذوا من فلسطين قضية جماليّة كبرى، وتظهير القيم الروحيّة الّتي شعّت بها على العالم.
4- تشجيع شعراء العالم، سيما الشباب، للمزيد من التضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني، وتكريمهم بتقدير منجزاتهم الإبداعية.
عن الجائزة:
أطلقها الاتحاد العام للكتاب والأدباء الفلسطينيين في العام 2026، وحملت نسختها الأولى عنوان: "شهداء غزة الشعراء"، بعد أن أظهر شعراء العالم، خاصة حركة الشعر العالمية، تضامناً غير مسبوق مع الدم الفلسطيني وإدانة حرب الإبادة الجماعية والثقافية الإسرائيلية عليه، عبر قصائد وفعاليات شعرية حول العالم، وترجمة قصائدهم هذه إلى
لغات مختلفة.
شروط الجائزة:
1 - أن يكون العمل المقدم غير حاصل على جائزة، وأن يكون منشوراً  صادراً عن دار نشر مؤهلة خلال السنوات الثلاث الأخيرة (2024. 2025. 2026) .
2- يجب أن يقوم المشارك بالتسجيل عبر تعبئة استمارة المشاركة عبر الموقع الرسمي للجائزة، مرفقاً بسيرة ذاتية و 3 صور شخصية.
3- يتعهد المشارك بأن العمل المقدم لن يشارك في العام نفسه لأية جائزة، وبمسؤوليته عن وجود أية مخالفات تتعلق بالملكية الفكرية، واحترام قرار لجنة التحكيم للجائزة.
4-  يحق لفريق عمل الجائزة استبعاد أي عمل من المشاركة إذا لم يستوف شروط الجائزة.
5-  لا يحق لأحد من فريق عمل الجائزة أو عضو في لجنة التحكيم أن يشارك في المسابقة العام نفسه.
6-  لا تجوز المشاركة في أكثر من عمل مقدم للجائزة.
7- تمنح الجائزة لشعراء غير ناطقين بالعربية.

تنقسم الجائزة إلى:
1-  جائزة فلسطين الدولية للشعر وقيمتها 4 آلاف دولار أمريكي.
2-  جائزة فلسطين الدولية للترجمة. ويشترط أن تعنى بترجمة الشعر الفلسطيني إلى لغات أخرى، وقيمتها 3 آلاف دولار أمريكي.
3-  جائزة فلسطين الدولية لدراسة أو نشر الشعر الفلسطيني، وتمنح لناقد أو باحث أو ناشر أو مؤسسة وقيمتها 3 آلاف دولار أمريكي.
4- تقدّم الجائزة في احتفالية خاصة في فلسطين أو خارجها، وإضافة إلى القيمة المادية للجائزة، تتم ترجمة الأعمال الفائزة للعربية ولغير العربية ويمنح الفائزون شهادات تقدير وميدالية الجائزة ودعوتهم لفلسطين لإقامة فعاليات مشتركة.
